h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*this has one main room with side rooms coming off it for injured people to recupreate in. Magicians who have been injured come here and the Healer Magicians will do their work and heal them.*

*Elandra brings in, carrying Craxus, using all of her strength*

*she gently puts Craxus down on a bed and one of the healers rushes over*

[Healer] The battle?

[Elandra] We won, with casualties...The High Lord has been injured, please tend to him, I need to see the King.

[Healer] *notes the two cuts on Elandra's arm, both seeping an unhealthy-looking pus, and the hand-shaped burn mark on her neck, as well as general bruises and small grazes* But you have been injured as well, Lady Elandra.

[Elandra] *waves her hand* No, I am fine. Tend to the High Lord.

*leaves before they can argue further*

*Elandra comes in again*

[Healer] Ah, my lady, have you come for treatment?

[Elandra] No, I am here merely to check on the High Lord's status. Any changes?

[Healer] No, but we expect him to improve over the following hours.

[Elanra] Thank you. *closes her eyes for a second, almost starting to sway on her feet, then leaves*

*charges in*

Ela... ro... qui...

*slows his breathing*

Quick I need a healer in Elandra's room.... NOW!

[healer]of course lord *shuffles out*

*Lycan glances over at the high lord and follows*

*Lycan walks in*

I would like to know the condition of the High lord

*the healers check over the high lord again*

[Healer] Well...he has not gotten any worse. ** He is stable but we can't do much for him.

thank you for telling me *bows and leaves*

*Lord Curmanis enters, with Faller following*

*sees the High Lord*

How is his condition?

[Nurse]Still no sign of change. He could waken tomorrow, next day, next week...it could even be years before he wakes up.

*sits down beside the bed*

What happened to him?

[Nurse]The battle...it affected a lot but more on the High Lord. He got cut on the side of his arm, but his huge wound was to his side of his stomach. But all this magical stuff, who knows how that has affected him.


*The nurse takes a wrag and puts it in a warm bowl of water, and washes the face of the High Lord.*

Very well. Inform me if there is any change.

*gets out chair and, after a final look at the High Lord, leaves*

*Faller follows*

*enters looking for the high lord, sees him*

ooh.. probibly not the best time for this then..

*Leaves back for the council chambers*

*Lumien enters, and sees the High Lord. She goes over, and takes a seat by the bed.*

High Lord, I- I don't know if you can hear me, but...

*She swallows hard.*

It was my fault, the attack on Kalsho. I drew them out when I couldn't fight them all on the Imardin-Kalsho Road. I tried to warn everyone, I really did! Bu-but I just wasn't fast enough, and I wasn't good enough either.

*She pauses, and catches her breath.*

It should be me, lying here like this. I should have been out there, not you. I should have done something to stop that Drow, but I couldn't. I- I'm sorry. I wish there was something I could do...

Well, there is /one/ thing...

*She stands, places her hand on his forehead, and closes her eyes.*

Now open up your mind, hear my voice. Listen...

*Lumien sends all the energy she can muster to the High Lord.*

*Lumien walks out of the Healing Hall, slightly less vigorously, if that is possible.*

*Lycan walks in and sits by the high lord*

Lord Crxus, I know you have been kind to me in the past, but all this responsibility you put on Elandra...

she doesn't know how to bear the load, hurry up and get well or else I shall make sure you don't...

*Wolf pokes his head around the door looking for Lumien, sees Craxus, sighs and leaves*

*A bright light begins to emit from the wound on the High Lords side. He opens his opens his breath gasping for the much needed air. THe light only continues to become blinding to the onlookers. The light brightens through his eyes, mouth, nose, and ears...the room is completely filled with the light.*


*The light dims, and the High Lords body settles back to its normal state. Right then, he jumps up off his bed, looking at his surroundings, wondering where he is. He final realizes that hes in the healing hall.*
