A Conversation for Talking Point: Endearing Pets
New Roomies

I just recently got a new roommate, who came with her own small zoo. She has salt water fish, two birds, and to my beagle's dismay, a little black cat named Juno.
Bacon (my beagle) and Juno have basically been staring at one another for weeks now. Bacon will shake in anticipation of chasing Juno and when his doggie instincts finally get the best of him, he will pounce toward Juno and Juno will either run underneath my roommate's bed, or take a swipe at Bacon.
They seem to have a harassful coexistence at best.
That is until their cover was blown a few days ago. There have been numerous thunderstorms during the day in Oklahoma lately, and Bacon is terrified of the thunder. In the middle of a storm, I came home from work to find Bacon and Juno curled up together on my roommate's bed. Bacon was shaking (as he does during storms) and Juno was resting her head on him.
This whole cat/dog antagonizing thing is just a front. I suspected as much.
