Well firstly to get to this ale house you will probably go via the red funnel hi speed red jet which will get you into cowes terminal. from there you walk past the fountain (only good thing about that pub was that they did Sambuca for friday nights, but the anchor does that now so sod it)
when you get to the high street turn left go past 2 pub (pier view and Vectis Tavern) and its opposite lloyds bank, there are 2 bars front and stable bar which is in the back lots of things hanging up old memorabila and bits and bobs people have forced upon the pub to hang up, there is no such thing as the time bell but a time telegraph you will hear at 22:45 no problem .
and if you go there ask if westy is around they probably call me at my house and ill be down in a few secs or ill be in west africa you never know
cheers westy

I tend to go to the Caulkheads in Sandown myself - mainly because I know the people who go there. It's a very nice pub, but expensive. More a restaurant pub than a drinking pub - but believe me I've never tasted better pub food EVER anywhere else!
It's where I take my girlfriend.

That's the one - opposite the Fountain, which is more the drinking pub in Sandown where the sixth-formers go, before heading off to Colonel Bogeys.

I WENT UP TOO BOGEYS FOR A LAUGH ABOUT 1 1/2 WEEKS AGO I HAD NOT BEEN THERE IN ABOUT A YEAR ITS CHANGED A BIT INSIDE BUT THE MUSIC IS JUST AS CHEASY, AND IT MAKES ME LAUGH WHEN THE GIRLS GO ON THE DANCE FLOOR AND DANCE ROUND THEIR HAND BAGS AND THE BLOKES WILL EITHER STAND AT THE BAR OR JUST ABOVE THE STEPS BY THE RAILING AND DRINK THEIR BEER AND MAKE COMMENTS LIKE "SHE WANTS IT THAT BIRD"
BUT WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT IT MAKES ME LAUGH
HA HA HA

I've only ever been to Bogey's once, which is surprising as I live in Sandown. But everyone who goes seems to be underage, and I'm more into going to Scruffy Jacks and playing pool (badly) there with my friends then dancing with school kids. Prices are bad there, too, but then the best places for prices seem to be either Hogshead, Newport or Weatherspoons, Ryde.
