Just at a time when I need more money to my name, considering I'm trying to buy a house this year, I've received a notable amount from an overseas benefactor.

You see, it's a refund of an amount I was overcharged for something. I'd never have noticed without being told, so I must applaud the honesty behind this gesture. So, thanks are due to.... amazon.co.uk.

They have credited my account with the overpaid amount.

They give me refunds like that from time to time- usually if I bought something at a specific price and then the selling price drops within a set time afterward. It's not typically a substantial amount, usually not more than $2-$3, but I've never gotten one for a whopping 2p.

It is an entire three cents, I tell myself. I can buy almost half a mixed lolly with three cents...
