h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Who's up for an Autumn Mini-Meet? Love to meet friends old and new.

Seems that in the time I've been away a Vogon Fleet has driven a massive disruptive highway through the h2g2 continuum, and a meet may be a good idea.

As I am currently 'between jobs' I'm happy to arrange something. Plenty of free events about following London 2012, and hopefully inexpensive accommodation.

It would be a maybe from me.
I'd really love to, but *might* be a bit short on money and more importantly on days off...
So plan ahead if others are sure to make it, and I'll see if I can join.

If I am in the UK - yes, I will come. But so far this year has been rather impossible to plan, so judging by the last four months, the chances of me making any fun meet ups are unlikely.

That's what I like. Hootoozens rallying to the cause. Then just work out what to do. Still trying to visit the Alan Turin exhibition at the Science museum, but the lift was out of order.

I'll probably go there straight from the office, so I should be there by 6pm (office disasters permitting). Please let me know if anyone else plans to be there early, so I don't sit there for hours like a stuffed lemon

And why do we say 'stuffed lemon' in that context?

Because a stuffed grape would be difficult.

I'll see what I can do. Takes a couple of hours to get there, but can't see a problem. Just have to pace the drinks.

It's my birthday that day, so I'll raise a glass of something sparkly to you lot!

Don't think I'll be able to make it... Waiting here for the workmen to start on putting in the new boiler and radiators, and as soon as they do I'm giving them the key and disappearing until its all done and cleaned up and working again, and they oughta be starting by the end of this week

MMF, a French meet in Rheims could be fun, there is quite a lot to do, and the city itself is quite nice.

Leaving it up to you, Frenchie. You know I'll be there. Especially if you are. Don'tb mind helping out where necessary and able...
