Facial piercings are a hideous abomination to the way nature/god made us to look attractive?

Yep, can't see the point at all, same for tatoos, at least I guess with peircings you can just take them out, with tatoos, your pretty much stuck with em, and they always end up looking stupid ten five or twenty years after they 'seemed like a good idea'

a friend of mine had several piercings in his genetailia
and after he had them removed he suffered some 'leakage', so he went to the Dr.
the doc gave him a card with a name and phone number on it
it wasn't a specialist it was a flutist who could show him how to hold it propperly

True about tats, but facial piercings are right there getting in the way of some otherwise decent faces

I think facial piercings are up to an individual. I love tattoos and I'm less impressed with piercings, but there's plenty of tattoos out there I dont like, and the same with piercings, wherever they are.
I'm live and let live on this one. We all get to choose our hairstyle and colour, our clothes, our make up (or not) and for men, how we cut our beards. We all adorn our bodies one way or another to our personal taste. If some people want to stick pieces of metal in themselves, that's up to them. If you think they are more attractive without then you're not who they are appealing to.
I think Mullets are an abomination, but evidently some people like them.

I like facial piercings. Unlike a tattoo, they aren't permanent and can be changed to suit the moment.
Also, depending on where they are, they can be rather stimulating

Not my bag but they look smashing on some folk.
To my shame I used to judge people for having them. I have, fortunately, stopped being such a prick in that regard.
Tongue piercings have their own special little place in my heart, but that's not for visual reasons.

'Belgian girl panics after stupid decision turns bad, tattoist not at fault'.
Sorry, that's what the headline *should* say.

Having just given 2legs a mild berating for his choice of words on 'I'm lost' (qv), I find myself in full agreement re the total pointlessness of facial and other bodily piercings, and tatoos (sp?)
One is what one is and looks as one looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, someone (who was it?) said, and my eyes are beautiful enough without having to gaze upon the hideousness of such 'garnishing'

You consider yourself too important to be *forced* to perceive other people's self expression?
Nice.
