Did you get into work today? Who had a skive?

You can predict who won't get into work here in my office in Stevenage.
Some atendees have passed the homes of absentees to get here.
And the roads really weren't that bad anyway.

As I work at a school that the head decided to close, I went in, helped on the phones for a while - mums and dads checking the school was closed - then came home - with work on my laptop. The roads weren't too bad, given care - North Beds. Since coming back, I've moseyed out with my camera to get next year's Christmas Cards, and surfed the net. No work done yet.
The school was cklosed as most teachers couldn't have got in early and all the buses weren't running so only local kids could have got in.
First time school has closed since built in 1963

I had to go by pushbike this morning, the normal one hour journey took one and a half hours.
I had to cycle on pavement as roads were packed and have around a metre of snow/slush on edges and were too dangerous to cycle on. It was like cycling through wet cement on pavement!
The weather was terrible and got freezing/wet from snow melting on me, it was tiring and very slippery. I was looking out of window with dread at thw thought of it all freezing before I cycled home!

It has virtually all melted here (Marple, Cheshire) and is a *lot* warmer than of late. I can't imagine any problems picking up my kids in an hour
Although was hoping to build a snowman with icklest. No s either.
