tis nearly the season to be jolly and I'm not sure whether I'm ready for it or not. Am I the only one?
Looking back on the last months I feel I've come a long way since last year. For starters passing my driving test, learning to drive long distances and even night and day drive. I've also learnt lots of arts and craft stuff and had a go at clowning, capoeira and a Brazilian drama technique. These have all made me want to learn more and I continue to be an h2g2 supporter. So what have my fellow researchers felt they've learnt this year? Any plans for the months onwards?

Hi opti,I'll not dampen the spirit too much, sadly it's a time of year that hasn't boded well for me or family hence tend to ignore as much as possible.
As for the year to date, well, suffice to say I've had better. I don't make long term plans anymore, I avoid disappointment then when things don't work out. They rarely do for me these days.
Good to see you've overcome the lack of confidence with your driving now.

Hi Opti, Great! news about passing your driving test, well done The world will now be more open for you. Mind you with the price of petrol these days, we tend to use our car just for shopping
Its not been a good year for us either, but we have stuck it out together, in fact, I think its that what keeps us going
I think once we get this ignorant ard of a neighbour sorted out with his barking dog, our lives will improve by 100%, the fact that we have now got a lawyer on the case things will now happen!
Smudger.

Hi, y'all,
Mixed year one way and another. Some good news, some bad. However, made lots of new friends, coming to grips with a new computer and loving it, but not looking forward to Christmas. Since my kids have grown up Xmas has lost its' magic somehow, and it is so commercialised now it is more of a worry than anything.
Oh,and I mustn't forget the badgers, and my badger thread. New lease of life for a and I shall wear purple
I just think of all the people in the world far worse off and thank my
Thanks to all of you for making my life a whole lot better.

Hm. A full year is a long time in a young life. In the past year I've...
Well I guess I've come to terms with a great many bits of reality and made some serious decisions about them. Sounds like something to be happy about.
Thanks for making me think about it.

Been a mixed year here as well. My grandmother had cancer but recovered. PSG's dad moved out very unexpectedly. Milly's learned to talk and can put sentences together, she can also count to 10 and can read all the letter sounds. My brother got thrown out of university after failing an exam for the third time, could not be contacted for three weeks and had my parents very worried. PSG's brother is graduating a week Thursday for the second time. I passed my driving test.
I guess the main thing I've learned is that you can never tell what's round the corner, and just have to make the most of the present.
Main plan for the coming months is to have another baby, all's going well on that front so far.

Hi Opti
I've realised this year that I'm an inspirational outdoor leader. I finally came round to the fact that it's not just kids that get a buzz off being around me in the woods and on the moors, but adults, teachers and fellow leaders as well. That might sound big-headed, but perhaps the biggest revelation has been that if you don't keep reminding people of the fact, you don't get much work. So over the coming months, I'm going to keep telling people how great I am
We all know talk is no good without action, and that tomorrow is too late. So I started working on my reputation a couple of weeks ago, and have put time into it daily since. Watch me go!
All the best to you as well. It's obvious just from seeing you on h2g2 how much your confidence and maturity have come on in the last few months, and I'm delighted for you.
