last night me and my bf had a row and I was left crying myself to sleep whilst he went out with his mates clubbing. Thing is he believes I'm making him feel claustrophobic, clinging to him to prop myself up and we should be individuals doing our own thing. We live together so see each other everyday. I've leant on him to help me with work as i doubt myself at it. He also thinks I should go and do things on my own besides the usual messy club. I never want to go through another row with him again. I could go on but my mind is closing in due to not sleeping well.

Partner rows are the worst - in the thick of it, the universe may as well have just stopped and nothing makes sense and the despair is overwhelming, etc etc etc. For some reason though, we all forget how bad this is, which leads to more fights. I don't know about your specific situation, but I'd advise that you at least try to give the impression that you see yourself as a strong individual who has her moments, but knows who she is and what she's doing (and what she's willing to put up with). If you are always in the position of being the hanger-on or the needy one, you automatically become the easy opponent. It doesn't make sense - you'd think that guys would be that much nicer to you when you're fragile, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It seems everyone resents weakness for some reason. I hope that made sense.

Normally I'd sign off with those, but it looks like you could use them now. Stay strong, and try to get some sleep - I know it isn't easy, but after the tiny amounts of sleep I've been getting of late due to work, I know that you just *have* to get some sleep - not sleeping is only going to make you feel worse...
Opti, we're all here, your very own little fan club. I hope things get better for you very soon...

Opti, you do more on your own, you came and stayed in Notts for a start. Starting Messy Club must have been quite some effort. You go rock climbing, you went to London on your own despite having never been there before. (A very good day out that was too ). I think you do more independantly than you realise. I'm sure you can sort this out.

Hi Opt, sorry to hear that you have had a falling out with the b/f, but can i just say that sometimes they are unavoidable and hopefully now that some hours have passed and you have both had time to think, you can get past it and prevent the same argument from happening again.
If nothing else then can i offer you some and a sympathetic ear to bend

Sometimes things like this just happen; sometimes, despite how horrid it feels at the time, it's good to get things out in the open. My theory is always try to talk about things if you are not happy, it
s better than bottling them up until they burst out. but then, I'm awful at arguments, so I try to avoid them at all cost.
Sorry about the lateness of this post, I have been internet-less for a few days.

Well I can offer my inexpert opinion if it will help.
If you really care that much about the argument than it means that you 2 must have something really special going ton together an so 1 argument won't bring that down.
