It was a perfect autumn day today: sunny, warm, no wind.

I went for a walk (a little late, the sun wasn't very strong any more), and I took a few photos:

It's just across the road from where I live, and wonderful for a walk in such lovely weather.

Yes, it's wonderful on days like this. I hpe we'll have some more sunny weather. All in all, it was a relatively good year here, weather wise.

Did you pinch all our good weather?

It was soooooo warm here people were out in town (the shops were open and there was some kind of food festival going on)

We were all out in shorts and t-shirts eating ice cream!

I didnt wear shorts, Sho, not after I've only recovered from my cystitis (which I probably got from not wearing warmer clothes at the Kelterfest we went to last weekend).


I wish we could have gone to the Rheingau for Federweißer and Zwiebelkuchen, but somehow, we didn't make it.

Only downturn is the election results.

It was a lovely sunny day in London today...HI and I went to the South Bank in t-shirts* to go to an event billed as a "village fete" outside the National Theatre: http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/?lid=48861

It was a bit rubbish. The only interesting thing was the Transiberian Marching Band. But we went for lunch at a tapas bar, then browsed the second-hand book stalls on the South Bank, before heading home.

Today has been ok but a bit dull and cooler than of late. The last month has made up for a mostly rotten summer here. I hope October is kind.

We had glorious weather down South - easily the best day of the year so far. Went for a long walk at Blackheath in the Surrey Hills (not Blackheath, London!)

Yes, I know Guildford reasonably well. I live at the other end of the Hog's Back. I don't know Send well, but worked in nearby Woking for many years.

long time ago, I lived in Send as Au-Pair...
Did my shoppings in Guildford and Woking, my local was the "New Inn Send"

Bleh, yes, terrible election results! At least we can say that we have a female chancellor and an openly gay foreign minister...

Great weather here, too, though

...but that's all good you can say about the election results, and it doesn't convince me it's the best for this country....
