It certainly was. And the nuts are delicious, too. There are many walnut trees here, but the walnuts often lack a distinct flavour. This year must have been good for walnuts, because the ones she brought are delicious.

We have a large agricultural emphasis on the planting and harvesting of nut meats here...a very important cash crop in the state.
I would be most likely healthier if I partook more...

I recently discovered I'm crazy about hazelnuts
Not really fresh ones, curiously, but more hazelnut paste, or yoghurt, things like that.

I like hazelnuts but the fresh ones cause a light allergic reaction if I'm unlucky (a dry throat). No problems once they are processed, though.

Ooh, I've had frangelico once (Twice actually, once in coffee, but I wasn't impressed.)
Why do nuts provoke allergies? It's unfair
