Autumn is here

One fall in Philadelphia, our gas furnace went out at the same time as everybody else's. So we had to spend a week in the sitting-room with the wood stove.
The smell is nice, but the smoke isn't. After a week, you feel like a country ham.

Bad ventilation then. After we had the first time what was called 'Schneekatastrophe' in the 1970s (blizzards), my dad decided not to risk anything and bought a wood stove for the kitchen. WE loved it, we spent hours in the kitchen (although we had electricity). It was just so - 'heimelig' (help me there, dmitri).

Lovely photos those too Pierce! and very cheerful. I didn´t expect so much light.
I´m also a fan of Autumn.
Have any of you written something about Autumn?

Thanks for that link, Mala.
I think it´s a great idea. And difficult to give it form too!
I haven´t read it all, I´ll finish in other moment.
So far what I´ve read of it, everything sounds evocative and very pleasant.
I´ll think about it.
Now, time to watch with my daughter a sitcom (It´s not Hanna Montana)
