Dahling - by now he *knows* I can swim! my best chance is to offer him a beer at the end of the day!
If you come over - he might offer more of a rescue Or better still his well built companion might fling himself in the water to save us both. ( this one was the less hunky of the squadron)

In America, apparently women give men demerits if they show up for a date wearing speedos. They get another demerit if the top two buttons of their shirts are unbuttoned. Women must have different attitudes where you are, lanzababy.

It depends on the body wearing those garments, I reckon
Don't worry, I doubt they make speedos my size

well it must depend whether the tide's in or out,Prof, high or low, spring or neap. Once that has been decided it all depends whether the water is warm enough for a paddle.
As for the speedos - it's a European thing. And if any of you are interested in comparing women's bathing attire - believe me speedos cover about three or four times the amount of flesh that women's bikini bottoms cover these days.

can't afford a holiday or a day out to the coast to check it out
so far, still only rain in our north, but Scotland and Ireland had BAD snowfall

Was just listening to the radio a bit ago... missed which bit of the country it was but there was some talk about areas having been affected by power cuts and people having to be rescued (I think they may have been talking about Northern Ireland... but I was only half-hearing it from the kitchen where I was slicing up a baguette I baked for my breckfast )
So the women are even more scantly clad than the lifeguards? I'm so lucky I can just drool over either sex
