Not actually *my* accident, but good for a laugh nonetheless. When I was about eight and my bigger sister was twelve we used to race a bit, and she would always beat me, then subject me to all those little mental cruelties which have made me what I am today.
One day I decided that I had had enough. I would beat the big meanie. So I gave it my all, pumping my little limbs as hard as they would go - and she still sailed past me, sneering backwards at her kid brother.
Course, she should have been watching where she was going. She ran full-tilt into a concrete wall and broke her arm. Blood everywhere. I think you could even see the bone. At the time, we were all, of course, too shocked to see the funny side. But, with hindsight...
