Accident prone?

I reckon it all depends on your definition. smiley - winkeye

If one engages in risky behaviour all the time, one is bound to have more than an average number of scars...

For example, my deep scars include:

Chin below mouth - root beer explosion during home brewing experiment
Lip above mouth - caught on thorn bush running from police
Left index finger - slicing steak roll at work
Left ring finger - Boy Scout hatchet incident
Left wrist - road rash received foot race
Right wrist - collision with goal post playing football
Left knee - tripped by competitor in 400 meter dash
Right knee - see right wrist
Nose - collision with opposing player's fist in basketball game

But I really don't consider myself very accident prone. After 34-plus years, it's good to have a body that's been well-seasoned. smiley - winkeye

I've always been a wee bit accident prone, but today I reckon I surpassed myself.

Running late for an early morning meeting, I stopped to buy petrol. Stupid bugger that I am, I "parked" the car of top of the hose, and managed to liberally douse myself in petrol while attempting to fill up.

You can imagine how bloody terrified I was on the way home to shower/change , in case I chanced upon someone having a fag/stray welder etc! Mind you , made a great talking point at work today - "H will be in late, she's doused herself in petrol"

Wouldnt be so bad, but had to invoke the "late for work" clause a few weeks ago when I stunned myself with my belt buckle when getting dressed!

Rains - Wondering where time's going and why it's in so much of a hurry!

Ouch!

The best one I managed was as a teenager in a shopping centre. I was far, far too busy trying to look cool and pull a nice young man, when I managed to walk straight into one of those knee high litter bins!

I hit it with full force, fell over it and knocked it completely over... leaving me with a very bruised and swollen knee and supremely injured pride.

When I was little I tripped over a drawer that was out on the floor, and hit my head really hard on the side of it and i fell flat on my face. I had a HUGE bruise for ages and had to go to the ER in case I had concussion.

I had third degree burns from hot water from a tap.

I had second degree burns from an element on an electric cooker that was on, although not red and glowing.

I was run over by a Chevy Van when I was 8 and was in hospital for ages. (broke my arm, damaged my back, knackered my knees)

A kid picked me up and threw me on the ground (I was 6 and he was 8 or so) and I broke my arm.

Oh, and there are lots and lots more of them!!
