dont think the grid will work

well for a start you're only going on entries that are solely humourous, explicit, factual etc etc but what if an entry contained all content? you cant have an entry thats ,green, amber n red can you? well i dont think so anyway.
something i dont understand tho is this entry was created in febuary but these events only came up in the past 5 weeks so was this entry written ages ago in a build up to the sort of outcry that taking guide entries out would cause?
hmmmmmmm

Jeff - Lurker <lurk> - nostalgia overload! Posted Jul 26, 2003
It looks like this entry was originally created (back in February) as a test entry for the Italics to try stuff out on. The copy of the page in the Google cache http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/A965252 shows that the entry had something to do with the awarding of an honorary ACE badge to loup.dargent.
This looks to be an example of the Italics re-using their guide entry pages (though I thought the February date was suspicious too when I first saw it)

Ditto with the checking of the date! I looked for the cached versions straight away since the italics don't normally re-use articles - not even the same day's front page when they have to fix it. In addition to Loup's badge there were links to the meet photo caption comp. The odd thing was how many times the page was cached in different skins (directories as far as google was concerned) including one from TalkLondon (although shown in Brunel of course).

So the Ace forum's publicly accessable? It must be, otherwise Googlebot wouldn't be able to find and follow links from it...

Ahh, OK. I thought you meant that Google had found the page in all those different skins because of links in the ACE forum. My bad.

Yes, this entry was originally a page for testing Guide ML for the caption competition. As you can see from the cache it has had many incarnations, perhaps none as infamous as this.
