Hi all,
Just a line to tell everybody I'm back home and mostly ok. Arm hurts and the drugs make me woozy, though, so I won't be online long.
Thanks a bunch for all the support with this, I'd have been even more of a basket case without everybody cheering me up. You guys are great, and I appreciate you all! 
Back later, when I'm a bit more stable...

Howdy!
Slept most of the day, just got back up a bit ago. Got some pain and swelling in my hand, but not too bad. Checked with the Doc's office earlier, they said if I've still got swelling tomorrow, to loosen the dressing. Cut back to 1 pain pill instead of 2 in hopes of getting relief w/o dizziness.
So, that's been MY day...

I'm glad it's not too bad...and the good news is chances are it can only get better !
So...this medication...I'm assuming it's that evil stuff...that you can't drink with...??

Yeah, it says no alcohol, and I believe it!
You should be proud of me, actually sticking around for the surgery... it took them THREE tries to get an IV in me 
and I believe I've mentioned my fear of needles

Its magic surgery, you'll be able to do all sorts of things you couldn't before!!
3 tries for an IV??

"Big brave girl"... yeah, right... my therapist was physically blocking my escape route and holding me down by my bad arm to make sure I didn't try anything tricky
