Or 152,896 to be exact My 'History of Seinfeld' entry's acception (and its 7,000 words) put me over that mark.
I was working on an entry, and it seemed a bit long, I found that is was about 4,000 words long (and it's only about 2/5ths of the way done ). I wasn't really sure if that was above average for me, so I found out that and some other things too. Like that my average entry length is 2,012 words (about the length of A3073619 Smurfs).

acception = acceptance?
Seriously, I reckon that's quite an accomplishment. Personally, I don't *do* word counts. For me it was always 'write what its worth' or 'don't do more than 26 inches' - but newspaper editors are evil.
And I should know - it was my favourite job!

Wow, are y'all really going to start correcting my posts as well as my entries?
"For me it was always 'write what its worth'"
I've done some big topics though. JFK, Lincoln, the Civil War, USA History, Nixon, Seinfeld, Columbus. Smurfs...

Nah, we'll only pick on funny ones like acception.
And don't talk to me about Smurfs, my daughters have just discovered them and I'd forgotten how awful their theme song was.

Strange measure, Jodan.
(but maybe we're all prone. I had a reminder of my own last week : "It's sunlight, Dad, not watts per square metre")

As long as all those many many words are...good ones
If I counted the number of entries I've started and not finished or actually deleted I'd have many words at my disposal.
And yes of course we're going to correct your posts as well as entries...it's what we're all here for
What makes me laugh is when I remember the umbrage you took about Calvin and Hobbes

Eh? Don't remember Calvin and Hobbes very well. I've tended to block out my newbie years.
I wonder how many words are in the whole edited guide
Maybe next weekend.

Hey Jodan!
You should count them all up, tallying them by initial letter, and find the most frequent word with each initial. You could then write an Entry entitled "An Alphabet of the Commonest Words in the Edited Guide".
Wonder what 'O' would be - 'of', 'on' or 'Ohio'

Oh, hi, odorous seal
Do you know I've only written a third of the Ohio entries in the guide? Nine of my entries are in C185, I believe, and there are a total of 28. (This is all off the top of my head though) I felt kind of inconsequential when I found this out.

Don't worry about it, Jodes.
After all, you were kind of inconsequential before you found it out too.
(Oh, this is too easy...)

Congrats Jodan. I prefer to consider the range of subjects covered, but you are not a slouch there either

Or for a more profound analysis, that could lead to a serious discussion about the existence of nothing that I won't go into as I still haven't recovered from the last discussion of that on this site how many empty spaces have you had accepted into the guide?

I know I give you a hard time occasionally, but I seriously admire your efforts here. 150,000 words is a formidible amount of writing. The average novel is about 80,000 words.
Key: Complain about this post
