Hey, Hyp!
What you said back there - does it mean that, if Jodan wrote a novel, it would come out nearly twice as average as anyone else's?

Hah. Guess what?
There was a clue on Final Jeopardy today, saying something like "In 1790, this midwestern city was named after a society that had been named for a Roman citizen-soldier."
Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo... do-do-do-do-do, do-doo.
Give up?
Cincinnati.
And, if you look at my latest entry to be front paged, European Entries in Ohio, you'll find that information.
And they said a rant about cities with the same name in Ohio and Europe was useless The guy who won (and the only one who spelled Cincinnati correctly) wouldn't say so.

I thought the Roman fellow was Cincinnatus. Oh well.
Pin, how close are you to Bradford?

Hi Hyp
(Let's just ignore Mr Gameshow-Tragedy, OK?)
I'm about 40 miles from Bradford. If you have a map, I'm close to the utterly famous Junction 31 of the M1. Bradford is about ten junctions north, and a bit to the left, perilously close to a Ba-ad Place Called Leeds.
What are you thinking of? They'll not give me a visa to enter West Yorkshire, y'know.

Amy is organizing a curry meet in Bradford. I have never eaten curry. Ok, I know a person of my years should have tried curry by now. What can I say? I live in the Ozarks, remember?
And I have never ridden a proper train. So, I'm going to do that in England, as well.

It would be nice if the Neverstarting Story crew could get together. I'll be staying with Ben for a couple of nights - not sure of the schedule yet. It is still being tweaked. Anyway, if you and Waz and Trout and Ben and I could get together. Does Trout live in England? Should have checked. Jazzme lives in Newcastle Upon Tyne, but can't get away to meet up.

Trout lives in Queensland, Australia, which is about 18,000 miles out. (You're quite a bit closer where you are at the moment!)
Meeting Waz and Ben (and maybe boots?) would be great - if a little daunting.
Check diplomatically with Amy. I may not be her idea of company, though the real spat was a couple of years ago and I've been trying harder more recently.
I do enjoy a good curry, though.
The trains are not recommended. Save that one for mainland Europe, or Japan.
You could always come to Sheffield. Lovely place. Steel City. A bit like...Cleveland, really.

And it all comes back to Ohio
Donald Trump was at the Dayton Convention Center today.
Just thought I'd tell someone who didn't know.

Most people say Sheffield's like Pittsburgh, actually, Jodan.
I said Cleveland just for you
...in case you were lurking in your own Journal, y'know...

Jimi might've been lurking. He would've liked that. But then again, he doesn't go *on and on and on and on* about his state.
Cleveland ain't too well known for its steel, really. Standard Oil came from up there, if I remember correctly. So thats... something.

Really? Standard Oil started in Cleveland? No wonder they left and went to New Jersey.
How on earth could I have forgotten boots?
Well, let me talk to Ben and see what she can arrange time wise. And I'm sure Amy would be happy for you to join us for curry. Most of the folks in her northern group are complete strangers to me. I know Ormy. And Phil.
As to trains - I will probably never be outside of the US again in my life. It's now or never.

Woof! Sorry late again.
Well done Wolf a long way from the barber story eh?
....*waves* to fellow bus travellers. Yes lets meet up...when was it? Where? Passports for Pin eh? Trust me Hypatia, you really do need passports, thermal underwear and a medical kit if you venture anywhere north of the M25. It can be quite a traumatic experience.
Whoops must dash
Take care

Well, Hyp, I'm in absolute awe of everybody else.
(even you, boots)
(no, not you, Jodan)
Got any dates yet?
Oh1o50hio,0hio0hio0hio Words Accepted into the Guide!
Hypatia Posted Apr 28, 2005
I've never heard of Jodan having a date.
Actually, I haven't heard back from Ben yet. I'll let you know when I do. Or have Ben contact you all directly.
Yea boots! This will be great fun.
And no one has ~ever~ been in awe of a hillbilly. Not even Jodan. His Kentucky relatives are probably in awe of hillbillies, however. The ones who aren't actually hillbillies themselves.
So, Jodan, how bout dem Cards?
For those of you who have never been fortunate enough to be in a conversation with Jodan and I, I must tell you that he has a very unhealthy diet. I occassionally offer him a , in hopes that it will improve his health.
