*The walls are black and cannot be damaged because of an amplify damage/reflect damage spell put on them by the Circle of Techno-mages. The wall is 50 meters long, 20 wide, 10 high.*
*HDS stands in the middle of the hall, awaiting the arrival of Lord Hjik*

Master Lord Hjik appears in the great hall out of a midst. He smiles, knowing that it has literally been an eternity since he came to this wonderful place, a testimony to the power of the darkness to block out the light side of the force. Still, the whole power the force pervades everything here, and here is where both he and His Divine Shadow, will be at the peak of their strength and ability. This duel is not a match for dominace over any universal realm, but more a clash of the titans, a contest between two old (eternally old) friends as they know only the other could dare even contest their will and power. His Divine Shadow is indeed divine to mortals, and this battle is of immortals, beyond the power and understanding of mortals. This is indeed like the struggle for Olympus long ago, except here the match is not for earth, but for a realm beyond sight and sound, that only these two can understand. Master Lord Hjik (Lord Tuhy in ages past when he was mortal) appears physically looking mch like he did in his mortal life. He is neither tall nor short, is neither thin nor obese, but instead is lean and radiating with power. But this power that radiates can be hid from all, and only shows it not to brag (knowing that his Divine Shadow does know the nature of his power, as their power is of the same stock) but merely to give a friendly gesture showing his presence. He wears a black cloak looking of Elven design, which hides all save his battle boots, handsome face, and red eyes. A red lightsaber is underneath that cloak, but all else and all other powers are a mystery to all, save the Divine Shadow, and these are the two foremost of friends and foes, challenging each other to push one another to the limit.
Divine Shadow, shall we do this dance of death, since we cannot die?

ooc="out of context" and all non battle things are to be written in between them. For instance " Hiya, I have to work today" Just so you know.
multiple ooc's get a number with each so that one may answere them in some coherent manner
CONTINUITY! That is a very important word, it makes duels more fun for each party. The following are examples and definitions of what is and is not correct as far as continuity is concerned. I can aim a blow at you, but I cannot determine the effectiveness of the blow. Everynow and then (use sparcely, very very sparcely!) you can hit someone, but again do not assume effect. A weapon can bounce off armro or an energy shield but it can only break or be otherwise damaged by the one who owns it. Projectiles (bullets arrows) are a different matter, they can be dodged, deflected, or destrloyed. Breaches of continuity make some, like Jade, very angry. A breach of continuity may be handled 2 ways, resetting to before the breach (ignoring the breaching post) or getting a sever anger lashing for breaching (the person does something that really schools you).
actions are to begin and end with *s, while speaking (as it goes in duels or quests) is not bound within quotations or astrixes. Let us Begin!
*HDS turns and faces Lord Hjik*
I have been waiting for you Lord Hjik,
We meet again, at last.
*HDS raises a hand and blue Force lightning issues forth from it. HDS is also pushing rightwardly at Lord Hjik, attempting to both stun him and throw him into a wall.*

*A Gateway opens at the far end of the room and Lews enters this place of shadow. His voice booms as he makes his presence and business known.*
Hjik asked that I meet with him here; I do not yet know his purpose.
Well met HDS and I wish you honor in what appears to be your upcoming duel.

Partly out of being rusty, Lord Hjik is ready for the force lightning but not for the force push, *He flies toward the wall while absorbing the force lightning sent at him by the Divine Shadow, and smashes into it. Luckily, he turns his body in mid air so he crashes into the wall with his feet and then repels off of it and leaps over his Divine Shadow landing thirty feet behind him.*
Well done, HIs Divine Shadow. I can see that this will be most amusing, for us both. In ages past we spilled blood together. We immersed our lightsaber crytals in the blood of the innocent to make the blades of light the sith crimson they are today. We can duel, but if only we could bleed as well.
*With his left hand he sends the blue force lightning HDS threw at him, and with his right hand sends forth a large webbing stream of force lightning, while creating a force wall behind HDS as if to use the force lightning to slam him into the force wall behind him*

*HDS raises his hand and deflects the blue lightning into the cieling, which retaliates with a bolt of lightning that is 20 times as powerfull.*
Crap!
*Jumps out of the way of the coming bolt, ignites his deep blue lightsaber and knocks the bolt at Lord Hjik (baseball style), then leaps away from the lightning wall.*
I am doing fine Lord Hjik, and you?
I'll do my best Fair Jade

Hjik pauses for a moment, in spite of the Force Lightning headed at him, to look at HDS's lightsaber. He thinks, Blue?
"Blue? Did you not soak you lightsaber in blood and go through the rites of the sith? Where is thou crimson blade? From which dead Jedi was that lightsaber taken?
Unfortuneatley his pondering of such details causes him to be hit by the force lightning bolt, out of his own carelessness. *He remains transfixed, absorbing the what force lightning he can, but still is forced to taste a small twinge of pain from the initial contact of the lightning.*
*He looks over at Jade, and gives her a mocking smile.* She is indeed a woman, HDS.
*Lord Hjik pulls two weapons from his cloak. One a lightsaber, the other a Darth Maul style double bladed saber. WIth the second He ignites both ends. In one motion he ignites his single blade saber and salutes HDS, then throws the double bladed saber with stupefying speed, a glowing red circle of spinning death*

Kay, I'm dropping all pretense now, kid, as I feel you don't much deserve any show of elloquence from me. Might I remind you that //you// challenged //me//. And, might I also add, you insulted me. That was bad form. I am quite justifued in my anger toward(s) you. So if you would stop with the hysterics, I would be quite greatful.

Okay, I concede your point. But dude, there's a thing called /tact./ Maybe next time you should think on using some of it?
The Main Hall of the Temple of Shadows
His Divine Shadow: ACE, Shi Alyt Posted Jan 27, 2003
I agree that Lord Hjik should use some more tact, that's two votes in favor of the motion, it goes to the floor for open debate. *looks around, sees blank "what the f&ck" expressions, continuis un-abated* I motion that the motion should be passed as is, do I have a second? (that was my congressional spiel for this week)
*HDS sees Hjik hit by the lightning bolt and s. Then sees the spinning double blader and frowns. HDS ducks as the blade flies over him, and sticks his deep blue lightsaber into the air, intending to cut the double blader in two.*
I have chosen deep blue and deep purple for the colors of my blades because I like the color. I still possess my red bladed dueling saber (Count Dooku style), I just choose not to use it here.

Well it matters not anyway, as we have put that whole messy situation behind us, Hjik and I, and I have decided to have a very selective memory about things he might or might not have said. ...That sounded very *shudders at the very use of the word* democratic... *She goes off to wash her mouth with bleach*

I'll agree with you, 100%, in fact. I don't think that bending over and kissing our a$$es goodbye would accomplish anything, but turning the fist inward, you know. That's always nice. (I mean defence. Defence is good. It's not always right to simply bust heads.)
