Okay, you old fiends... friends? Now that we're all adult and the like, what shall we do? Shall we write edited entries? Should we be rich and famous irl? C'mon. We've put years into this, and it's embarrassing to just fizzle out in a glory of growing up.

Growing up? I spent last night singing songs around a campfire. I think I'm getting *younger*. But yes - if fame and fortune should come to me, as they will, expect me to drop all you people like hot faeces. You'll call, but my people will say I'm in a meeting. You'll come to the estate, and be told I'm in the Riviera for the week. Sorry, it's the way it has to be. Plebs.

(Happy belated Bithday!)
I, myself, shall just be 21 in a week. Though through a series of loop-holes I seem to have traded my soul, fame, and fortune for college loans.

Wow, I was 24 in April. I remember not being old enough to drink in America when I first came to the BoE.
Anyway, my friend Lark and I are planning a website with merch and comics and the like, and will likely need writers. More to come.

Indeed. I'm sure the BBC owns us all, and everything we've written on this site, although someone should look into it... because it would make a seriously amazing webcomic... I'd be willing to illustrate actually, but I'm bad at legal research and hosting and the like...
It sucks that we might not own our ongoing story... there's been some lovely bits of death, revenge, plundering, and quotes.

Actually as I read the rules, we can publish anything with done on here elsewhere whenever we want, but they are also allowed to publish it. So we don't have exclusive rights, but we have as much right as the BBC to publish!

Excellent.
Does that mean shared rights? Like, if we started to make money with BoE merch, would they be entitled to some of it?
Just curious.
Also, who finds this interesting? The whole BoE comic/site of our own thing?

The idea has interested me for sometime. Not enough to do anything about it, but if something were started...i might be persuaded to help. Though i'm not sure what sort of services I could offer.

Maybe perhaps it's something we could do a treatment of and pitch to the Beeb. Hmm.
The idea is that the BoE basically belongs to all of us. I could easily do it up, but I'd be using dialogue that basically all of us wrote.
The best way to do it is to think of basic story arcs, and then approach it like a regular comic series. If wanted, each person could take a story arc, we could start with the pre-exsisting ones from the Boardroom and Gaia, flesh them out to be coherant (sort of)... and then I and/or whomever could put them in comic or graphic novel form.
We could do them up and pitch them as comics, or do them online.
The merch is kinda self explanatory.
There would have to be a consensus, and probably small contracts between the actual members of the BoE, Legion, Hally, Myst, Jade & Zato, Skulls, perhaps Clive, and me. I can't off the cuff think of anyone else... maybe Chronos?
This is just spitballing here. (that phrase is so eeewww...)
but seriously, I don't think there's really anything too much like us in the genre.

Me me me me! Can I join in (me being Terran (albeit with a very long name), previously Verc... etc)?
And no I think we can make any money we want, its just the BBC can publish it as well.
So has anyone got any web space, or should we just just a free Bravenet website?

I hope you don't mind me butting in, but I thought I'd contribute my to this discussion.
Not being a BoE veteran since I arrived too late there was rather a lot of backlog in the BoE when I arrived. Backlog which I took great pleasure in reading. In fact, I originally thought that it would make a good set up for some sort of comic or story but I never got past the thought stage. I think the Idea of doing it as a comic (or however you do it) is a brilliant one, and although I realise I'm not one of the original cast, I offer my services if you need any help.

Cool, cool. I am going to put up a real website as soon as I have all the pieces in place. I don't want to do a free site service or anything, this has to be Just So.
Yeah, see, I don't want to make something that catches on, and then have someone else be able to glom on to all our hard work. I'm looking into it with a business lawyer just now, and making inquiries.
As far as help, I'm glad to know so many people are interested in being on board. I don't necessarily think it's going to be wildly successful, but I have to plan as if it were.
I'm kinda thrilled about this, guys.

I'll take it by that second paragraph that you'd rather do it with the veterans than a mix of vets and noobs. No problem, I completely understand if you want it to be your own project. Just keep the rest of us interested onlookers posted on the goings on.

You are truely a good sport. I'm not sure of the exact plans here, but from the sounds of it the comics with start out based around the original backlog, which would obviously be comprised of the veterans, though I'm sure as things move on you will be duely remembered. Especially if you continue on as you are, I feel you are impressing the Board, unlike many-a-noob.
