Might attend the London meet.
I expect to be moving into 'my own' flat withing the next four weeks. Very happy about this. Trying to keep on top of all the things I need to organise. Also trying to make sure I've got some money to buy all the essential white goods, so I'm not getting much even by my standard. But, looking forward to settling in, very much.
I hope to take up pottery again soon, I've missed working with clay and, to start an access course in September.
Self-harmed for the first time since the WinterMeet a week or two ago. Still, 5 months was the longest unbroken period in many years and I'm not gonna let a blip set me back or get me down.
I don't know that there is anything else to say...

Excellent news Stealth! Well done, great to see you moving into good stuff times; about time too, you deserve it.
with moving, it's always both exciting and exhausting.
What sort of pottery do you do?

I love pottery, it is so soothing to throw a lump of clay on the wheel and work it into a pot

Hey, Stelth! Good to hear you've been doing well, and the flat is great news; As I think we chatted about at the last meet, I think having your own place where your not surrounded by those awful people you were talking about will make a big diference to things And well done on the five months; just be careful when it comes to the move; its the most stressful thing I've ever done, Good luck getting the new flat sorted out and ffill of nice stuff Hope you can make it to the meet

Hi all.
Throwing clay is indeed a fun and relaxing creative process, the feel of the clay, watching it take form, even putting the glaze on is, as you say, soothing.
Getting out of the shared house, away from it's stresses, strains and unhealthy environment is certainly part of what I'm looking forward to, it will make a big difference, there are other aspects too, such as the freedom and independence of my own place.
The practical issues of moving are and will be stressful, but I look forward the move more and more each day. I think it will, overall, be a very satisfying thing.
I think I'd like to go to the meet. There's a Robert Rankin book launch the following Monday, if I can't afford both, then the launch in Brighton takes precedence.

Don't know much about clay, except in the geological sense, but if you need some cooking on the cheap recipes, I can help you there! Glad things are going OK!

I'm better at throwing clay in the literal sense, as in across the room during a clay fight. But oh well, we all have our talents.

I love working with clay, I made a very silly and useless (well, its got some stuff in on my shelf at the moment) pot thing once.... I painted it light blue... and it had a dark blue and green flower on the side... I'm not that good at it though. What I really like doing is making things out of wood! yes I know I'm silly light blue pots and the like, but hey, Its fun!
And with your move and everything, I am sure it will all go spectacularly, (I can't spell that) wonderfully, excellently, perfect for you!

Thanks for the goodluck wishes... I will need all the luck I can get. Things are not going exactly perfectly well. Money is going to be even tighter than thought, for reasons I can't be bothere to explain.
I have a very small new claim to fame.
On Sunday the 29th I was in the thoughts of Neil Gaiman.
'...and one "Cthulhu sex" which left me wondering whether they'd liked it when they found it.'
It amuses me to occaisionally search the internet for weird things... Quite possibly because I creepy and very strange.
I don't remember clearly how it was I found Gaiman's site after searching for that subject, I tried google in for again a moment ago and found mostly links connected to Cthulhu sex Magazine. A mag I don't recall finding out about before...
Still it made me smile that my random search brought me into the thoughts of my second favourite author.
And I did in like it when I found it... for 'it' was a short story written by Gaiman and not "tentacle-porn".

No way, just lack anything intelligent to say to this...
I started reading the short story, but couldn't make much of it, perhaps should try again?
