"How do you come up with those names!?"
I spin thrice clockwise and thrice anticlockwise and chant "wibble wibble" until until my cat gets fed-up with the rawkus and tells me what to call myself.
"*wonders wether to be slightly scared and hide from stalkers with those sort of axe type things*"
One should always be wary of fanboys wether they happen to have a battle-axe or not. They're alway out to get a free pint.
"Stealth? What's with the new name?
It's cool, but strange..."
[Deletes long-winded explaination]
I don't want to be known as 'Stealth' anymore. There are a number of reasons, none of which I care to go into.
'Kamanchi' or 'Kam' or 'Oi-You' I'm not too bothered about.
For about five months this account was almost completely dormant. No it isn't. So 'Gone Back To Sleep' no-longer applies, which leads us to 'Not Quite Gone.
Van, Der, and Von are all prefixes to Germanic names and Don is a nod to Don Quixote [which, Terry Gilliam may yet make into a film > http://film.guardian.co.uk/cannes2005/story/0,15927,1485600,00.html].
Yadda yadda... put it all together > new name.
"As is Stealth himself!!!"
...de gustibus non est disputandum...
"'cause having an 'atomic friend polonium' just shrieks normal and balanced"
All the best people are very slightly mad. One thousand and one yellow daffodils begin to dance in front of you, that sorta thing, y'know...

whatever you call yourself, you are still my mate
anyhoo, how was the move?, have you done it yet?
SummerMeet & Stuff...
Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Jun 18, 2005
I have moved. Pretty much anyway. I've shifted everything from NE road. Still working out what I'm gonna take from here and when. I'm yet to get a sofa, new bed and carpets and curtains and some other bits and bobs... So I've moved but I've not finished making the flat into a home yet.
SummerMeet & Stuff...
Heleloo - Red Dragon Incarnate Posted Jun 18, 2005
oh, so you're own place, you must be so pleased.
If you don't have a bed, what are you sleeping on?
The rest will come in time, it must be so peaceful for you

I've been told I should say what I feel more, so, here goes...
I feel happy for you.
SummerMeet & Stuff...
Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Jun 18, 2005
Thank you m'dear. I hope people appreciate the effort you make and, goodluck.
I'm sleeping on old single mattress of a hard floor. My back isn't thanking me for this.
And yes, I'm pleased to have my own space. But these last two weeks have drained me somewhat.
SummerMeet & Stuff...
Heleloo - Red Dragon Incarnate Posted Jun 18, 2005
ohhhhh matress on the floor, you poor thing
moving is a very difficult thing to do, but now you are there, things should settle down a bit
SummerMeet & Stuff...
zendevil Posted Jun 18, 2005
Matress on hard floor, i sleep on one also. They are actually supposed to be very good for bad backs; but it doesn't seem that way in the morning when you try & get up from them!
Have fun getting the flat sorted, independence is a wonderful thing!

I once slept on the floor for three weeks solid. I couldn't sleep in my bed, but nobody understood that. It was just a mental thing I panicked at the thought. I'm fine now, though.

re: what Hel said.
Oh yes, things will settle bit by bit over time, but there's still a lot of upheavel to get through.
And sleeping on a amattress on the floor isn't a real hardship. because of a "problem" I have with my old room here at mi mother's I've been sleeping on the floor in the living when here for more than 2 years.
It's just a poor mattress and hard concrete combining oh and my weight too, to make mi stiff and aching in all the wrong places.
re: what Terri said.
This is very true Terri. I made the assumption it would be good for the back, but, I think getting up from that mattress makes one feel 20 years older... i reckon that losing the mattress and putting some sheets/sleeping bag/old quilt on the floor itself would be better. Especially if it's a wooden flor and not hard cold concrete.
My own personal space in RL, that I can [within limits] shape for myself and [again, within limits] make as private or public as I want.
re: what Phredde said.
Had much the same experience myself many times and to many different degrees over time.
I was in my room here the other night, trying to think about what was in there that I might want to take to my new flat... Just being in that room as I went through stuff lowered my mood and made tearful and have a sense that I was at any moment going to lose it and harm myself.
Hence my barely having been in that room let alone having slept in there once for more than two years.

If I weren't already invited to a local barbecue party, I'd go!
Actually just yesterday, when I told my DH about the meet, he said "What! Why aren't you going?" I will be with you in my thoughts, though!
And I am glad you aren't intimidated! Somehow, I can't think that another attack so soon on the same spot is likely. Probably will be bad things happening around Europe though. Do they think this will make people like them better?
Milla
SummerMeet & Stuff...
Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Jul 11, 2005
No they don't think it will make people like them better, they think it will make their god like them better... *sigh*
SummerMeet & Stuff...
Milla, h2g2 Operations Posted Jul 12, 2005
*slaps forehead*
I knew that!
Why don't I just start thinking again... But isn't their god also one who talks of peace and love? At least I heard that from a couple of places.
*wishes brain would engage*
Until next time,
Milla

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Jul 12, 2005
The meet kinda starts at 4 PM (when I and some others should be arriving at the Olde London (formally the Bell Book and Candle)), so could you not 'pop' along for some of it and still make the BBQ? I dpeneds that depends on how far it is from one to other etc
SummerMeet & Stuff...
Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Jul 13, 2005
Assuming your talking to Milla, I'm guessing that the reason is simply one of not being able to go the BBQ and then get on an airplane out of Sweden bound for Gatwick...
It looked for a while like I'd not be able to make it to the Summer Meet after all. I'd kinda loosened my grip on my spending... Not to mention giving away 15 quid to a trickster.
However the government were kind enough to give me a cheque... As I’d long be of the understanding that you couldn't be on both, Incapacity and Income Support at the same time... This understanding was deeply erroneous and has meant I’ve lost out on a considerably amount of money over the last 2 years. However for the future I now have an extra source of money that wasn't there for me before....
