Mines been fine did you alter it to a link that doesnt get stopped by the firewall? after youve done that n got in that way, you should be able to use the normal links ..as long as you dont sign out.

STAR: I've had that problem. I find by unplugging the box for 30 seconds usually rights it.
I'd still like to be able to login normally though. Then others can use their accounts.

Hello all,
While we really appreciate the efforts of some Researchers in helping others to migrate their account, we strongly advise against sharing personal details with other users. This information is kept secret to protect your account from others misusing it - if they misbehave, it'll be YOUR account that is closed, not theirs.
We're not for a minute suggesting that the kind and helpful Researchers *will* misbehave - again, we're very grateful that you've been so helpful - but as a standard practice, it is never wise to share personal information such as your log-in details even if it helps you in the short term.
If anyone is having problems with logging in, please mail [email protected] and we'll be happy to help you.
Regards
The h2g2 Team

Very Good point there and just why I haven't asked anyone for log in details or such like whilst helping (here or in other threads).

On the other hand, those that have been helped and had thier accounts migrated by someone else, sre asked to change thier password afterwards, so no-one else can access the account after that.
Key: Complain about this post
