Very good - something there to interest everyone I should think. Perhaps a bit of general tat about SF - best ways to travel - areas to avoid - type of thing ?

I agree this is just the kind of entry that the Guide was orginally intended for, (I will personally buy an to anyone who can write an entry of this sort on Birmingham!)
Just a couple of minor stylicstic points..
I'm not sure that using a is the best way, I think I'd use subheaders for the text that is in bold, and put the descriptive text afterwards inside and tags...
and have you linked to A253900 ? I can't remember

Actually, I think it works quite well as it is. Interesting read.
Why don't you write this kind of thing for Brum, Z and buy yourself a pint!

Interesting stylistic suggestion. Is your idea to break the header off of the text in the paragraph? Is it a general dislike of bullets?
I'll script a copy and see what it looks like.
I will definately add a link in the introductory paragraph to A253900 (though that entry should be updated a little -- some of it is pretty out of date -- the credit card thing for the homeless is a thing of the past, etc.)

A great entry, by the way! Just a thought about your h2g2 links - instead of naming the other Guide Entries by number, you could fit them into the flow of your first two sentences instead...
This is just a suggestion, but the idea would be to put the links between the starred bits:
*San Francisco* (link to 'San Francisco' A253900) is full of wonderful, well known, and touristy places to visit. If you are on your very first *trip to San Francisco*(link to 'Flying in' A587603), then, by all means, visit The Golden Gate Bridge, Coit Tower, Fisherman's Wharf (Pier 39), Union Square, Chinatown and *Alcatraz*(link to A530641).
But I'm afraid they don't let you link to entries outside the Edited Guide once your Entry is accepted, so the link to A31294 would have to be cut, which is a bit of a shame, but there you go...
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
