"You are not your job
You are not the contents of your wallet
You are not the car you drive
You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake.
You are the same decaying matter as everyone else.
You are the all singing all dancing cr*p of the world."
- Tyler Durden, Fight Club.
"You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"
- Micheal Caine, The Italian Job.

Favorite movie quote. From the movie Geronimo.
Geronimo is sitting on top of a mountain looking at the cavalry snaking across the plain. One of the officers takes out a canteen and takes a drink. Geronimo fires and hits the canteen. The guy next to him(white, I forget what he was doing there, irrelevant) says great shot.
Geronimo looks over at him and says, "not so good. I am for his head."
well I did anyway.

Thoreau:
It is never too late to give up your prejudices.
Walden
A man is rich in proportion to the number of things which he can afford to let alone.
Walden
There is no remedy for love but to love more.
?
The true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints of morning or evening. It is a little star-dust caught, a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched.

Freddy, Keeper Of The Word "fnar!". Back from the Underworld. Posted Dec 7, 2001
I have lots of favourite quotes, mostly from Oscar Wilde, Winston Churchill, Isaac Asimov and of course Douglas Adams. Most of my all-time faves are from the less intellectual medium of the television.
"Every time I have been happy, the Universe has conspired to do something nasty to me". - London Mollari, Babylon 5 (J M Straczynski)
Henry: "Last week I took this actress back to my flat. She had five orgasms!"
Joy: "Oh, she must be a bloody good actress!"
"A lesbian is a man trapped in a woman's body... and that's what I aspire to."
"oh yes, and this time, Henry, please don't refer to the lottery as 'the moron tax'."
- all from 'Drop The Dead Donkey'
And there's this one, which I saw running around in the guise of a usenet signature:
"I am pentium of borg. Division is futile. Prepare to be approximated."
