It's getting better. But you need to work on the sentence structure - make it easier to read. Right now, some of it is a bit up and down. But then the Sub's will help on that front.
Also, I don't think you should call it "the greatest invasion in history" (in the first paragraph)...there are plenty of great invasions in history and as far as I know there hasn't been a vote yet!! Try coming up with a different description!
That's enough now. Getting tired of the history stuff...

Simul post! You could say "one of the greatest invasions in history", it almost certainly qualifies as that.

Its now "the largest invasion in history" which it certainly is for sheer number of people and land involved.

Do you have proof or are you just guessing?

Proof. Find me an invasion where 50 million troops were involved and 25 million lost.

It is a real word.
Atari - That's not the way it works. You can't guess about these things!!! Have you got proof that it is the largest invasion ever?

I read a lot of books about the second world war and ALL of them say it is.

Give an example, what book by what author and by which publisher. Can you quote the exact phrase, just to confirm you haven't misunderstood it (i can't see how you would have done, but its worth checking).
Indeedy? A real word? Hang on, i'll get a dictionary...

It's not in the first dictionary i came across. Hang on, i'll check dictionary.com...

Quote from dictionary.com: "No entry found for indeedy"
Are you sure it's a real word?

Yes, quotes are good.
Tango - Did you know Shakespeare made up 12 new words that were ADDED to the dictionary? Indeedy-do, is slang. And being that you understand what it means, it is therefore a word.

hmm... have you read spooks entry on "nothing", maybe someone should do one on "word". The definition is debateable.

Well who decides what language you use? You, or an extraneous group of people? Words are defined by people and added to the dictionary. I think you'll find that is the average process.
This is so off topic.
Case closed.

In Peer Review they HAVE to stay on topic. It's rude to the writer of the article if the thread isn't helping them...
