It's one of those pictures that looks like a revelation. You have the feeling that, just beyond the horizon there is a heaven, or at least, a place where wonderful things happen.

Well done CC, this is a wonderful sunset, lovely colors from black to white, and many shades of blue in between.

Hey, thanks folks, me like that you are such sweeties.
I am still sometimes Mrs Nervous Shiver Whippet when it comes to sharing work in wide wordly spaces, even though I love sharing, and this space is so nice, so I guess that's the main thing. woof woof shiver.

I've often wondered why the Sun and Moon look so much bigger than usual when they're near the horizon.
I get it that the Sun's rays take on a reddish hue near he horizon, given the extra bending of the rays as they come to us. There's some kind of physical law that I can't explain off the top of my head.
The only time I don't appreciate sunsets is when I'm driving west, and the glare makes it hard to see ahead .
