It's one of those pictures that looks like a revelation. You have the feeling that, just beyond the horizon there is a heaven, or at least, a place where wonderful things happen.

The what???

I don't know, I just lost the thoughtwave, , even though it was just a split-second ago.

I've often wondered why the Sun and Moon look so much bigger than usual when they're near the horizon.

I get it that the Sun's rays take on a reddish hue near he horizon, given the extra bending of the rays as they come to us. There's some kind of physical law that I can't explain off the top of my head.

The only time I don't appreciate sunsets is when I'm driving west, and the glare makes it hard to see ahead .

Its an optical illusion called the The Ebbinghaus illusion according to school science lessons

I rather like it . I just prefer not to be driving west when I have to face into it.
