BR - Pliny Editor translates &xxx; codes for some characters incorrectly

Windows 7 / Firefox:
The Pliny Editor translates the &xxx; codes for characters:
If an entry has an ampersand code such as é in the text, the Pliny editor translates this to the actual extended character, which in this case is an e with an acute accent.
I don't know whether this translation is done when the Editor is opened (clicking Edit Entry) or when the file is saved (clicking Save).
For some characters, the wrong character is produced. For example,
the code Γ which should be an uppercase Gamma character (looks like an upside down L) is translated to the letter G. Many other Greek letters disappear completely when the entry is edited.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
