I was just listening to the radio, as per usual, when I heard an article which mentioned that the Greek ode was first written in order to celebrate the winning athletes of the original Olympians.
So, I just thought I should note this down here as a possible item to add to our brainstorming list of suggestions.
I also know that nosebagbadger is a classical scholar, so maybe he would write us a line or two in Greek?

I have sent the volunteers an invite to our brand new planning tool, which is called 'Trello'. This is a very simple system to use, and I would welcome you all to take a look.
The board is a bit sparse at the moment, as it's only just opened. Do ask either Tavaron, Janna Pastey or myself for help in using it.

A bit further information for those of you who might be interested in future planning.
We've had two suggestions:
One is that we request photographs ( or other suitable images ) to be used for the Edited Entries in our archive that do not have any illustration at all.
The other is a suggestion entitled 'Adopt an Entry' which will hopefully encourage people to give new life to an Entry that is languishing in the Flea Market.

I hadn't realised I'd been called a classical scholar...good thing Lanza didn't watch me just sit my Greek papers
I'm happy to support the FM side (as said in Trello if we wander over there)...I'll leave the arty side to those more suited for it

Dear Creationeers
July is upon us, and we need to firm up our new challenge. I think rather than Sport'n'leisure - I think we might find it easier if we call it Sport and Fitness, as I've seen a few journals about individual fitness plans recently. Maybe h2g2 members are less competitive re 'Sport' but quite keen on healthy fitness levels?
So, I am going to write the challenge page, and beg someone ( am looking at nosebagbadger in particular ) to act as host. Even if you're not the actual host this month, would all volunteers support people who indicated that they are taking part in the monthly challenge?
Nosebagbadger is in the lead with the challenge this month as he has managed to find a Flea Market Entry with a Sport Theme. ( also some other linked entries by the same elvised author.) Very impressive!
In addition, we're still interested in the 'Illustrate and Edited Entry' and the Flea Market challenge ideas. I need to firm up how we're going to handle these suggestions. In particular, how we award badges. * goes away to ponder.* If you have any good ideas that don't increase the workload on Tavaron, please shout out.

All pictures should be either uploaded to a site and the link posted to the thread where we organise this thing (special picture thread preferred) or sent to us on email (with U-number). In any case a link to the Entry the picture is for has to be provided.

Damn, I KNEW! that doing my entries were going to get me in trouble - three volleyball entries (turns out the person had hid two more) and my challenge (though I won't finish that in July)
I can host it, but I've not got any ideas for sports/fitness (unless we're doing a FM/normal entry) thing
Also Tavaron please provide both link and email address to me so i can put them in

The illustrate an Entry will run as a separate challenge. I hope to introduce it in a fortnight's time, and let it run for a period of three months to begin with. I'll provide all the necessary details when we firm up the Challenge itself.

I've gone through people already in PR prompting them to sign up for the challenge - they have an unfair advantage I know, but it helps with getting it going
