Ok, what am I missing?

Am I insufferably smug?

Could I suggest Roast Butternut Squash?

Use some of the stuffing to pop in a butternut squash, then roast with the rest of the dinner...

Okidokie, I think I've corrected most of these. Let me know if there's anything I've missed.

I personally know a 'vegan' who eats roast chicken.

Brilliant, i saw the topic and my first thought was "eat them, either dead or alive", good to see we were in almost instant agreement

And smiley - rofl at Dr Zen

As of last week we "broke" a vegetarian, who was vegie, then vega, then veggie, then at fish, then chicken, then back to normal

(before i get attacked, we didn't put pressure on her, just a couple of good old fashioned jokes and waterboardings)

Whole chicken on a stick. Hit them with it whenever they call themselves a vegan. They'll soon learn.

Our one was a mix between extremely emotional and then hyper logical (you had to watch for the changes)

Chicken on stick good for emotional, massive arguments crushing her logic was good for everything else

Well that would remove our victorious satisfaction, but it would give us something to do, my CIA lab has been feeling underused

I've actually, this second, been talking with a restaurant owner about vegetarian options. From their point of view having just one option on the menu was sufficient 'not many people are vegetarians'. I pointed out that quite a lot of people are - in my circle of friends, and only being able to eat the same option wherever you go is rather disappointing.

I think your piece would benefit from having some real choices Z - I know the butternut squash motif is funny, but it may be a bit disappointing for actual readers who really are desperate to know what to cook for their guests this Christmas.

How about adding something else from your repertoire? Stuffed portobello mushrooms, with stilton and parmesan shavings? that sort of thing?

The butternut squash was an accident smiley - blush I was cut and pasting it to save time on the guide ML.

Stuffed mushrooms are good.... I'll put them in, not to mention stuffed peppers.. I was trying to get across that Christmas dinner's nearly always have lots of veggie food anyway.
