Help! I want to come but need assitance!
Pastey Started conversation Nov 12, 2011
Need help to know whether you can get there or not? Begging for a lift in a car, a floor to sleep on? Post here and we'll see what we can do.

Floor space would mean that I could stay over on Saturday night - have got Friday covered.

Floor space would be appreciated, bit cold for a tent. Have sleeping bag, will travel...

I should have floor/sofa/spare bed, the catches being it's in Leeds and I've offered first refusal to Clive.
Still, if anyone doesn't mind the train ride across (takes about an hour and the last one back is at pub kicking out time anyway) I should be able to accommodate a couple of folk.

I don't need assistance so much as assurance. If there isn't any chance this date will be moved or cancelled I will attempt to use frequent flyer miles to get there.
I don't know what else I would do in Manchester if there isn't a meet.

Witty, I live in Manchester. If anything happens that the meet falls through, you, me, the other half dozen researchers who live her and the other four or five who've bought tickets can have a mini-meet. Even though that already adds up to a normal sized meet

Witty, I've booked my flights and the hotel, none of which are refundable, so if I don't fall *really* ill or anything drastic happens, I'll be there.

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Nov 18, 2011
Anyone travelling up from my end of the country, well near London as thats easy for me to get too? We could travel on the train together (I can get 1/3 off my own ticket, and off someone elses, if bought at the same time, and if we're travelling together in both directions....) If, of course, I can cobble togehter the
and time for it, whihc I hope too... not been back to Manchester for years
(the last time was a meet I seem to recall....)

I sort of have a place to stay, though we've not talked about it directly - but that would leave TRiG out in the cold, so maybe taking over the hotel room is a better solution. Can you not cancel it, Bea?
