I will be opening bidding as soon as I can after I get back from the Isle Of Wight - the 1st or 2nd at the latest.

It should be easy to accommodate your first round of bids: if you send a very clear second round along with them, it shouldn't be a problem. Or alternatively, you can fill in any gaps after the first weekend - one lot of missed points shouldn't be too catastrophic.

I was going to suggest an ill-thought out possible rule change. How about we go from a maximum of three from each Premiership team to only two? It would make things more interesting from the point of view that more players from 'lesser' teams would be involved. Just a thought.

Most of my ill-thought-out rule changes tend to get shouted down.

It's not a bad idea, especially as this season looks to be dominated by Chelsea again. Perhaps I could introduce it as a 'transfer window surprise' in January.

Except it wouldn't be a surprise now, of course. I'll stick with three for the beginning of the season, though.
