If one of your players does a nosedive and scores nothing for the first ten weeks or so, he will lose pretty much all of his value (my spreadsheet works out a player's value from the points he has scored in the given time and his original purchase cost).

I will impose minimum bids on players still on the list on a common-sense approach: a Man City defender who comes off the bench most matches might cost you £2m minimum. A Chelsea striker with a regular starting spot might require £7m in reserve.

Of course it's difficult for you to predict how many transfers you might need to make over the course of the year, but that's part of the fun of the game.

I would leave about £4-5m in reserve to be on the safe side, though.

Sure. Although I don't think it's likely right now, to be honest. Most of our managers are pretty long-standing.
