Talking Point: Your Internal Jukebox
Created | Updated Jan 22, 2003
The human brain is a wonderful thing, it retains information, pictures and music like a sponge and then throws them back up at the most inconvenient moment. This is why you find yourself humming 'I want to kiss the Bride' at your best friend's wedding.
It can be the first song you hear in the morning or the last advert you hear at night. Either way, you wake up singing it and it is going around and around your head for the rest of the day. It is enough to make you grow to hate your favourite tunes!
What is playing on your internal jukebox today?
Is it a pleasant experience or is it driving you up the wall?
Has your internal jukebox ever got you into trouble by making you burst into song at an inappropriate moment?
What songs have you heard so often that you cannot bear to hear them again?
Have you ever planted a particularly annoying song in someone else's head on purpose?
