There's Always music in my head. Even when I'm listening to something or talking to myself, it's lurking there in the shadows of my mind, just waiting for the slightest opening and Pow! it's there, playing away. Is that normal? Or does it have something to do with me being a musician? Do normal people have silence in their heads once in a while?

I wouldn't say I'm normal, but I'm not a musician. I never have mental silence.
I work in customer service, on the phones all the time, and I constantly have urges to start singing at the customers. It's often very difficult to stop myself!

It is true that sometimes you wish that Mental Music would just shut the heck up. Like, when it won't stop playing Britney Spears songs.

Exactly... or when it for some reason keeps repeating the same few bars over and over and over...
But most of the time it's OK. Just now it's playing "King of the Road" for some unfathomable reason...

Stace, unless your a good singer don't bother. and even if you are don't sing to customers. unless they catch you singing to yourself. i always used to say i took requests and unless it was something by crowded houses or sting that i knew the words to then they were out of luck. it can be quite funny singing to customers though, some of them like it.
