h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

It's actually quite simple... I code what I feel like at the time

There's three main threads of development:

1) Stopping Ripley falling over.
We've done all we can on this now, sorry. Any bugs left we're stuck with.

2) Creating a new front end framework that will allow the site to progress.
This is now live, and all the stuff that was previously working in the old Pliny is now working in this version. What we're continuing with here is fixing any other features from the Ripley system that need to work with this one, and looking at new features to bring in.

3) Rewriting the back-end.
Like we've done with the front end framework, the whole back-end needs replacing too. All the APIs that interact with the database aren't really suitable to work on their own outside of the beeb, and need replacing.

At the moment, if I'm in the mood for hardcore coding, it's into the APIs to run some exploratory tests and see what's where, while cataloguing it all to start a plan of attack. If I just fancy something smaller, then it's tweaking the front end part.
The new skins we're bringing in are being designed by the Community Artists, and once they're ready to build, we'll start going through them teaching the artists that want to how to build the skins themselves, while logging it so we can write up a guide for users to make their own.

There are a couple of other streams of research and development at the moment, but these are very much to the side and not ready for the limelight yet
