Gnomon, I have seen personal spaces (mine, e.g.) where I've not used proper and tags, and it looks bad. And I am aware of some styling issues, but haven't come across any really unreadable Edited Entries. Styling is still a work in progress, bit by bit it gets better.

Oh, and in your Conversation list (Baron Grim... for you) the line gets a dark background when there are new posts , which is even "louder" than an asterisk.

I've used the new Pliny in the following:
XP, Vista, Win 7 Pro, Win 8.1, win 8.1 pro, Android 4 on Tablet pc, and windows phone.
Browsers used:- Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and IE 8,9 and 11.
Since launch the only real issue was the long link earlier but once that was sorted its all worked fine.
Obviously I played with this during testing too.
So all in all:-

Skins to transfer such as Goo
Its a darn good start
So lets play our part

I was* meant to go do some testing on the new pliny on the android phone... I compeltely completealteyly err totally forgot I blame ... William ,run>

There's a little bit on the layout of the conversations list, both on the PS and on the err 'click here to see more convos' page of the full converasiton list, which is a bit weird to me... but I think that's just becasue its a bit differnt to how it displays in alabaster, and actually, thinking about it, its probably more to do with how the internet browser in combination with JAWS renders the layout, rahter than the actual* layout or soemthing. I've had too much cheese to do anything sensible looking at it yet... maybe by mid-January I'd have detoxed from the cheese-overdose Sure I spotted the nighthoover button the other night.... but I could* have been miss taken...

I'm trying to switch to Pliny, but I've got so used to typing MP into the address bar, and then selecting the first suggestion to go to my conversations. Muscle memory! I'll make the switch eventually. May need to delete that from my history, so I'm forced to navigate my way to my conversations: then I'd go there from Pliny.

Well, because you asked so nicely, the little speech bubble in the user menu on Pliny now opens a conversations pop-up in a new window. This automatically refreshes, has an asterix in the title if there's new posts, and opens links into a new window

Thank you so much Pastey, I used to use a workaround, by having my conversations page in a new browser tab, but it meant looking at it now and then, and refreshing. I often used to wait for replies about Entries I needed information on. This will be helpful especially when someone writes back after a long time away - I sometimes miss them as they disappear down my conversations list so fast.

This will be really helpful. I'm using it now and it works really well.

I appreciate having all the skins brought over. What I'm not clear about is whether this will happen automatically, or whether I will need to initiate the change.

It'll still be quite a while yet, and they'll appear as new options in the preferences section. We'll probably change the old skins names to be Ripley Goo, Ripley Brunel and Ripley Alabaster, or something.

They won't be forced onto anyone

I doubt that I'll have to be forced, Pastey. I just hope that there will be some way ofk nowing when the new alabaster is ready. Could we call the new skin "Inglorious Alabaster"?
