Well, if it makes a difference, Effers, there are three different color schemes for viewing the forum (changeable at the bottom left) - sort of like our skins. Personally, I prefer the default though.
Artists' mileage may vary.

I want to try (at some point) get the aviating back going again... I'm not really much of a 'leader', and when rich pulled back from teh aviators we lost our 'leader'... and it kinda fell to bits, but it always had such a potential, even if it didn't quite live up to it at the time... I can do audio stuff...

See...the reason it really needed such a leader or driver was because the whole way the site works militated against AV and made it so awkward to contribute. When it becomes so much easier to take part I'm sure it will take off the way it never really did before.

I've a few insane ideas I'd like to inflict on the wider community at some point, regards audio aviated stuff 
Not least making up some utterly insane h2g2 referencing/related ringtones for mobiles, and for like PC noises/Email notification sounds actually I've not done any audio work in three weeks or more... longest I've been without recording anything in ages... Just trying to keep up with all this Email traffic for h2g2c2, and the forums here and on nosis... 
I've only just discvered all these pages, and the h2g2 future page etc... wish someone had pointed htem out to me earlier

I've been a Community Artist, a Photographer and an ACE. I'd like to come forward as a volunteer, but I don't think I want to do illustration any more. It was a *lot* of work! 
I'm a professional web/graphic designer, and would be happy to help with any type of graphics you might need. I'm also a Flash designer. Not getting to do much Flash at my new job, and I miss it!
I'm back, and ready to dive in!
