The Druid's Head is about as good as it gets in god's new waiting room!
Broardstairs is defin'itly a better bet...with the added bonus I can drive there and back, too. I'll come for a drink, no prob - it doesn't have to be alchohol

All I need is an idea of Dates.
fancy being surrounded by Folk Music? In which case 13th of August?
Down to you!

So far we've just got the beginning of May, as suggested by Serephina. Folk Week would be good but accomodation could be tricky (although floor space has been offered. That would be OK for one night but not a weekend - bit too much of an imposition!)

May is not a problem. A choice of dates would bew good, just so they don't hit gigs. Folk week is good for entertainment but not every one's cup of and not good for accomadation.
Ideas?

The weekend of Mayday would be good but would have the same accomodation issues, and you're likely to have a gig! I reckon it's either that or the following weekend (5th to the 7th).
It'd be nice if some other people popped up with a suggestion...

Appropos of the accomodation... as long as you don't mind just having a floor and providing your own sleeping bags, a couple of nights wouldn't be much of a problem to me.
It might be handy to have a friendly hall to dump your (non valuable) bits in whilst you're out on the p@@s
The one thing about my place is that it's totally burglarproof.
For one thing, there's never anything worth stealing. For another, there's only one entrance, which is on the main road, and thirdly, there's invariably at least one person in at any one time.
Just as long as you're all willing to keep the washing up up to date, I don't mind.
August Folk week sounds prtty good to me (always wanted an excuse to check that out) but May(which May Bank Holiday are we talking about?) possibly could be a prob, as I'm due another dartboard op at the end of that month and may not be particually mobile.
OK...less mobile than normal, lets be honest!
But the offer of a "dumping" space (in the politest sense of the phrase) still stands

Hi Folks.
Here are the dates I can make (gigs permitting)
8th, 9th April
30th April / 1st May
5th, 6th and 7th May
20th, 21st May
12th, 13th Aug (Broadstairs Folk Week. i.e. Loads, and I mean loads of Music, and late night drinking. Would mean accomadation, which would need booking now, and I mean NOW!)
Down to you folks.
Once a date is started, I'll get it organised. I could arrange a dumping spot for gear, but I need to speak to my Dad. May involve a couple of Taxis to the Station, but it is Plannit Fannit, so not extortionate.
Let me know.

I assume that when Evadne Cake said the 'first weekend in May' she meant the bank holiday weekend. MMF, surely you're going to be hassling horsehair that weekend?
As the 'Events' page mentions May we should probably stick to it, either the aforementioned BH weekend or the following weekend (7th).

The 5/6/7 May weekend isn't a problem.
May day weekend isn't so easy due to w*rk commitments, but could be adapted. no Horsehair over catgut at present. See what happens.
Shall be going soon.
The effects os of are hitting.
