The problem with the autumn is that 
says it's too cold in that part of the world. This is true, but perhaps we can cater for that by dressing accordingly and finding an indoor itinerary.

Of course we could go for an indoor itinerary, but I prefer seeing sights when going to new places which is why I prefer to travel in the warmer half of the year
Anyway, something has come up (house in need of repairs) so I'm not sure whether I will be able to afford any travelling for a foreseeable future
Which is a shame, actually. I was thinking of flying down south at the end of september, because we are having the wettest summer in recorded history (since 1874) after a quite extreme winter. Next winter could turn out to be pretty harsh also, as this summer hasn't been warm either - so I could really do with relaxing in a lot of sunlight

OK so I'll start a new thread for a meet in the Spring in Hamburg then? Although spring is filling up for me already with sons in various parts of the country to visit at University etc.
