h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

OK, I'm back and have belatedly posted a message onto the article as suggested. Maybe this could be added to a list of hints for new artists - along with any other previous committee agreements. For example, the approved naming of message threads (just Yahoo or here?) should go somewhere as I didn't know A numbers were frowned on and many of the other messages seemed to have wandered off-topic for their original titles! So I actually thought I was doing quite well to specify the relevant articles

It's a good idea. I'll see if I can get a 'guide to using yahoo for artists' put together in the New Year and add it as a file, although most of the good ideas have come from the artists, so maybe they should put one together.

I have another question about the test articles and procedure. When I went back to post a message there I noticed (or more to the point failed to notice) that there wasn't a small "Graphic supplied by" credit at the bottom. I remember some other page saying there would be and I just checked Amy's elvish phrases one to make sure I was looking in the right place! So is the lack of a credit because I (and presumably anyone else taking the test) wasn't a Community Artist at the time or is it another pre-xmas blobbing oversight?

I'm not getting at you, Mina. I just like to know this stuff.

It's probably because I keep forgetting. I also foget to put them in the picture library as well sometimes. It's a habit that I'm trying to to get into so that it's not forgotton. I'll write it in my notebook, and that'll remind me to do it when I'm back in the office. Don't worry, you're not the only one.

Lack of credit being merely a mistake is a bit of a let down [pun]. I thought I might have discovered another unwritten h2g2 rule. Finding new bugs/features is fun (a bit like new scientific theories etc).

Sorry about that, but it's just my shoddy memory. The problem is remembering to take my memory-jogging notebook back into work on Monday.
