h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I spent my birthday in hospital this year, having a minor operation. I was more upset about missing the holiday that I had planned with my family, and visiting some h2g2 frineds while I was at it than actualyl being in the hospital. My other half came to see me with so it wasn't too bad, but I missed my son like crazy (he'd continued on the family holiday), which was the worse thing about being away from home on that day.

I spent my seventh birthday in hospital due to falling off of my bike and knocking myself silly.

To say that it was not my best birthday to date could be a bit of an understatement, probably due to the horrible concussion, the hospital team not knowing if I had a blood clot on the brain or not, and of course the subsequent parental fussing.

Got lots of cool pressies though.

And the moral is - there's always someone worse off...

Better than before, although not 100%. I doubt I ever will be again. But at least I still have my !
