As soon as it gets to the Flea Market you can pick it up because Nullmuse has specifically said that he's not going to work on it any more and has unloaded it onto anyone who wants to take it on. Normally we'd wait until an author has been AWOL for two months.

It shouldn't take too long for another Scout to come along and second. Then we just have to wait for the Eds to put down their or and do the moving thing, which could happen tomorrow... or in two weeks time

And whilst you're at it could you give the italics a prod <> as to why none of the moves recommended last week have been moved yet.

Don't expect anything too soon Elephants - the Eds won't be back until Monday and there's no telling when they might actually get around to moving the entry

However, since this you already know that this one is on its way to the Flea Market, and since we all know that you have put dibs on it, there's theoretically nothing to stop you from making a copy of the entry (by going to the entry, replacing 'A' in the url with 'test', and copying the GuideML, which is what you'd have to do anyway if you took it from the FM) in a text editor, where you can work on it. If you want to create an empty entry ready for it you could also do that, although I'd wait until the the entry is actually moved and you've posted to the FM thread claiming the entry, before copying the contents of your reworked entry into it, just to show courtesy towards the process.

Are you subscribed to the Flea Market btw? It's the quickest way to find out when an entry has been moved there. And if you haven't already tried it, can I recommend a text editor written by one of our Researchers (MaW - U55669) called GuidePost? I use it all the time now when writing entries because it has almost, if not *all* of the GuideML tags that you'll ever need incorporated in it. As I stated previously, you guys need to finish it off for me.

While I can answer some of the questions and straighten it up nicely, I (again) do not have the time required to try and do so.

My final word: today is the day after my birthday (Spetember 18th, 2003). If you don't see a revised posting by September 23rd, you can assume there's never going to be one, and do whatever you need to complete the entry. Again, I'll try, but that's the most I can do.

(Additionally, there were several comments that basically just fall outside the scope of the entry, which was intended to be Zildjian cymbals. While I will try to address these, those of you who marched cymbals in Drumline or played cymbals in concert band would be better suited to a cymbal playing and technique entry.)

But it's now September 25th and I have started to work on this here: A1303651 but won't put it in PR until this one moves.

Not sure, but if it's still there this evening, I'll put it in my e-mail.

There are around 30 entries recommended and not decided one way or another at the moment, so I think the italics are struggling to cope.

I think you're doing the right thing by beginning work on your version Elephants, but as you say, it wouldn't be proper to to submit it to PR before this one is taken out
