Very amusing...but, maybe a bit more detail?

Loved the piece Nice tone; light and informative but inclusive of some nicely barbed humour. Agree though, that the piece could do with being a little more exhaustive if it is to be a complete guide to the topic, IYSWIM.

maybe you could mention things like the ways to talk to other persons in the chatrooms (whisper, scream, to all, only to one person,...)
when i was chatting a few years ago i also often used private rooms where others had to be invited. i think that's a very common thing, too.

how about some links to the most popular chatting pages?
and maybe you could mention IRC, too, as its still quite popular.

You might want to add "IMHO" (In my humble opinion) to the abbreviations.

I really liked this article! It reminded me of my old chatroom days, when I'd say stupid things like "What does LOL mean?" *Sigh*

Anyway, this article would benefit from some headers dividing things up. If you aren't sure how to use Guide ML, then let me know and I'll give you what limited knowledge I know...

Looks like Nylarthotep has unsubscribed from this thread. I've left a note under the entry: F96340?thread=203274 but s/he's even unsubscribed from that one. I take that as a sign that there won't be any work done here and hereby propose to have this thread moved back.
