Made me laugh and re-enforces all my preconceived northern prejudices!
On an equally light note I truly believe that the united kingdom of Benedorm would be better without the Brits, America without the Americans, Paris without the French, and Walton on Thames should just be flattened!

This piece is spot-on. M/B is dire in a way that nowhere else in the North-East is. Soon to get worse, too, when it loses the last vestiges of a steel industry.
To find anywhere as bad as M/B, you have to cross the country and endure the connurbations of Cumbria.
Any takers to locate M/B to the outskirts of *gulp*...Whitehaven?

Hiya Pin! Missed ya (G*d I sound almost young). Must point out that the only two people I know who have visited the hairdressers for a red nose big hair makeover are a) male and b) reside in the north. What is wrong with doing the governments job (ie playing the couch potatoe charity game) from the safety of one's own home? Only northern males would consider active humiliation amusing!
Would appreciate your views on two Weight Watchers pieces I have submitted this week. Think they maybe a tad self indulgent but enjoyed the wallowing...hey ho!
