My Norwegian stepbrother has moved down from Tromsø to outside Oslo after marrying a nice lady (I haven't met her yet, but knowing my brother she must be). Together they have bought a two storey cottage somewhere in Portugal and my brother has suggested I visit them to help them paint it.

Of course I would gladly go and since they are both still w*rking I could offer to be housekeeper/warden even when they are not around.

Hmmm, yes, good point. Although I'm told if the house is close to the sea it may not be overly hot there all of the time

Well, yes and no. If there is enough the painter may have difficulties painting

For that you'd need a woman. When all the men are there, willing to start with , then the woman shows up and announces the painting first. Or something in that line.
