.. I've been to the local garbage dump last Saturday .. with a car load full of .. wood, cupboards, cardboard, paint cans (empty or half empty, all older than six years) .. I'll go again this Saturday

Last time I moved, I hired a truck. Well, a tractor with carriage. 2 tons of trash was dumped. But the sheds and cellars were empty after that.

I recently found I have two (paper) encyclopedias, dictionaries Dutch, English, Swedish, Frisian (!) .., Russian, several bibles (Dutch, English, Gothic, ...) as well as versions of the Edda (most translated), a translated Kalevala, (no Kalevipoeg but I heard they're on sale in a specialised warehouse near here).. Greek mythology including Ilias and Odysseia, ...
that's the first five metre shelves .. 25 to go
the attic holds about 2 cubic metre of construction wood (no wood fired stove near), and a square metre stacked with tools, furthermore five lamps, one weaving loom and two mattresses. four tents ranging from one person to six, five sleeping bags, assorted camping gear, and another ten shelves with books and about a cubic metre of electronic parts (incl. computer parts, switches, cables, ..).
the shed holds ten chairs, two tables, six bicycles (two in bad state), gardening tools, one hamster cage, several cans of oil, grease, and paint. One kite, two or so balls, two camping gaz tanks and one burner, one pressure cleaner and five or so buckets sized 5 to 50 litre. and about a cubic metre of "rubbish".

was it wright or gilmour who had to purchase hangars for his hobby: collecting aeroplanes?

my shed is the size of a smallish hangar. feels like it anyway
i would not be surprised if i found a plane in there one day
i just finished going through 2 of my 42 piles of paper w*rk in my office. turns out i could throw so many old documents, files and folders away the piles are now reduced to less than 25 of their former height
if this keeps going i fear there may be an echo in the office soon

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
