Brains the favourite leaps immediately into the lead... but Jaws is close on his heels... Nanny and Long John Turnip are not far behind... Cyril is starting slowly... but there's plenty of time to catch up...

Day Two

Jaws is firmly in the lead... swimming strongly... kind of spooky how he does that with no water on the race track!!! Brains is not far behind, yesterday's leader is still in contention... Nanny and Long John Turnip are neck and neck in third place... but poor old Cyril is still not making much of an effort...

Come on all you alien lovers... give Cyril the encouragement he needs to get into this race...

Day Three

Jaws is certainly unwilling to give up his lead... and no one seems ready to argue with him... though can you blame then??? Brains is in second place... Long John Turnip has really put a move on to get into third place... Nanny is still flying smoothly along... the finishing line is in here sights... but has she the power to go for it??? Poor Cyril is trailing behind... it's just not been his race... maybe he can make up the groud tommorow... we will have to wait and see...

Day Four - Finish

Well thats it... another race over... and what a great race it was...

Jaws and BRains paced the finishing line together... making them joint first... Nanny and Long John Turnip also came in together... but poor old Cyril... never really made much of an effort... and came last... well behind everyone else... for a visual representation of the finishing positions and a list confirming the winners check out the main racing page A771167

So it's over... one of the winners was the favourite... you all must have known something... a lot of researchers won this time... congratulations to you all...
